Turnkey EV charger installations

  • Level 1

120-volt charging using a household outlet for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). Typically they’re limited to 10 or 12 amperes of current because there’s an assumption they’ll be used on a 15- or 20-amp circuit along with other electric outlets and, thus, other appliances. Ten versus 12 amps is a difference, but a trickle is still a trickle.

  • Level 2

240 volts, which your house already receives for appliances like a clothes dryer, electric ovens or central air conditioners. The amount of current supported by Level 2 extends from 12 to 80 amps. The Level 2 charger can have a rating of 12-64 amps—and some can be set to throttle down to lower current levels to accommodate being fed by less robust circuits.

  • Level 2 DC Rapid Charging

For all EVs except Teslas, requires wiring separate from Level 1 and 2 circuits—either two additional contacts under the typical J1772 round pistol-grip connector that turn it into the near-standard combined charging system (CCS) connector, or a separate CHAdeMO connector. Teslas switch when supercharging, so they use the same connector for DC as AC.

  • New Home Advising

Builders and homeowners alike can contact our team for a site walk-through at new constructions—we’ll advise on charger placement and any related electrical line placement, amp needs and circuit load requirements. Then we’ll come back when you’re ready for install and get you all connected. Let us exceed your expectations before you even move in.

  • Panel Updates

Older homes may need a panel update or replacement before an EV charger can be installed and connection. Let our EV team inspect your current electrical panel and asses if any adjustment or update is needed—we’ll make any changes necessary to ensure your new EV charging station is rock solid from the first charge.
